I am a teenage girl and my parents said I can have a 3,000 dollar allowance on a new room, so money isn't a factor. I am also homeschool so I need it to be an office too. My favorite color is green. I love abstract things and COLOR. I am super organized and like a lot of storage. I don't have a very big room. I like IKEA stuff and other places like that. I am open to modern ideas and design. Why don't creationists present papers on intelligent design for scientific peer review like everybody else?

You spout off that I.D should be taught in science classes but refuse to present papers to the scientific review procedure that all science is subject. How can you claim I.D to be science when you refuse to use the tried and trusted methods which have brought us modern medicine, put a man on the moon and led to improvements in human lifestyles. Until you do your theory will always be discounted and you will be ignored. Could it be because your theory's have no evidence and are just nonsense?

I think its high time to put the Darwinian accout of evolution in the dock and in a transparent manner that was so absent in the Dover Trial.

For all their claims of the untestability and unfalsifiability of ID, the Darwinists have yet to demonstrate that macroevolution is testable and unfalsifiable.

The simple fact is that living organisms cannot evolve into new species and genera on their own accord...no one has seen a monkey turn into a man or a less adapted man into a better adapted monkey through the accumulation of chance mutations: All that has been witnessed is that certain existing variants in a population have become more predominant as the environment has changed.

The remarkable similarities between different kinds of animals and plants is the common design by which all things were created, in particular the genetic code: the language of life itself.

When subjected to close scrutiny, the modern gene-centric view of evolution falls apart: Isn't it time that those who defend it were prosectuted for spreading falsehood?

National Historic Place Register...could my house be on it?

ok so my house was originally built in 1825 and was supposedly a stop on the underground railroad. throughout its history, some noteable people and families have lived there (maybe not ntl. names, but def local for my city) it was also designed by a famous architect in my city in 1900, after it burned down. since then, the interior style has remained much the same, with some exeptions including the kitchen (modern appliances, style and the paint and architecture throughout the house, which isnt anywhere close to what the original color scheme would be. also, the exterior is painted an olive green, as opposed to the original white. do you think that it could possibly be added to the nhpr (dont know if thats even what its called but u kno what i mean right??)
o ya and when it burned down in 1900 the walls still stayed in tact so the original 1825 walls are still there, they just changed the style and built a 2nd floor....
o yess and also the first governor of my state (unnamed for privacy reasons) most likely brought the gingko tree in our back yard over from china...and general lafayette (from rev. war) visited our house at one point

What should I do as a career?

I'm a female, 16 years old and currently doing my last year of school.
I live in Scotland and recently got my standard grade results: five 1s and four 2s.

I am really stuck as to what I want to do as a career and I really ought to make my mind up seen as I'm leaving school in less than a year...

I am interested in animals and craft/design.
I would prefer to get a modern apprenticeship and would like to avoid going to university unless I can get a company to sponsor me and then I would work for them.
I would like a high paid job (£35,000+ pa!) as I feel I am bright enough and capable of a demanding, complicated job.
I would love to be a pilot but do not want to join the RAF and cannot afford the cost of training.

Any ideas? I'll add additional info if needed.

Anti-Darwinists: Have we messed up the Evolution debate?

I used to believe that most scientists were intransigent atheists who were determined not to allow any concept of intelligent design into their theories even if it helped best explain them.

I am now of the opinion that this is not necessarily the case. The real problem is that the ID community prefers not to disprove the theory of natural selection but to promote the idea of irreducible integrity and specified complexity which are very hard to actually prove scientifically.

Wouldn't it be better to focus solely on Natural Selection and show how this theory cannot be applied to the fields of zoology, biology and genetics. Isn't this where the modern synthesis is most vulnerable?

After all, the utilitarian theory maintains that evolutionary change is only possible due to gains in reproductive FITNESS: But if fitness is the main criterion for evolution, then nothing would have evolved beyond the most reproductive and adaptive unicellular organisms such as bacteria, amoebae and algae. Moreover, survival of the fittest would reduce diversity both within and between species and genera, and could not possibly be the source of the immense variety of life on earth.

So have we missed the point and messed up in the process?

How to choose Room divider curtain?

Hi,

I live in a studio apartment with very very old kitchen appliances and Ebony color cabinets. I wanted to shield the bad view of the kitchen from the living space and installed a brown curtain rod (12ft length) at a height of 7ft from carpeted floor. The side walls are cream color painted but one wall is brick. The other area of the room is modern with lake view balcony. I like modern style, warm look. I'm currently in Y10, and I know it may be a little late to ask the above but I suppose it's better to know than not.

My strongest subjects at school would probably be English or Modern Languages. Here are my subject options and predictions.
